Stressful Saturday

Being sick does not make for a happy home-renovator Holly. I was quite cranky today in general and then was having that claustrophobic feeling where your life is being thrown in one direction. Maybe flipping three houses, selling the loft, and thinking about buying a car for the first time in five years.

We met with two landscapers - Doan and Jose to go through the landscaping needs for the place. Quite a huge task. I met our new neighbor, John. He has three houses too - he rents his to his daughters. He also has an incredibly cute cocker spaniel, Noodles. Makes me super miss Lincoln.

Then we went to Joe’s Taco Shack where we ran into Dave’s family and one of Dave’s friends from high school. I think we already know half the town.

But, it all got worked out and then we went to Oakland to see the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir’s annual holiday performance. So not a typical Dave and Holly activity. But one of Dave’s co-workers is in the choir and it always gets you in the holiday spirit. Well, I was falling asleep in the first part. Who else but me can fall asleep when 40+ people are singing gospel songs? We hit Whole Foods and then came home and crashed. I will be so glad to kick this cold and get back to 100 percent.
