Olympic Torch Rally

My office mate, Marisa, and I went to the Olympic Torch Rally during lunch today. The rally site was a mere block from our office.

As we were walking over, we saw tons of police cars and motorcycle cops come down King Street.

Once we got to the 3rd Street Bridge and the ballpark, there were people everywhere. People for China. Against China. Free Tibet. We love America and the Olympics. It was crazy. We hung out with the protestors and waited for the torch. We finally had to get back to the office.

Once we were back, we realized they had changed the torch route from the Ferry Build to Pier 39 (the opposite direction of where we were), so we missed the whole thing. But the torch run went off without any incident. Goes to show you San Franciscans can protest without mobbing people.
