My personal trainer and his wife had a baby about two months ago. The baby has a diaphragmatic hernia, which means there is a hole on the left side of where her diaphragm should be, and some of her abdominal organs are in the chest cavity. My trainer and his family have been at the hospital daily praying for Tikva, but she passed away on Friday night. They were able to take her outside and hold her for a while before she passed.
It is just the saddest thing in the world for someone to die, especially a baby. And I seriously have never met anyone with a more positive approach to life and a giving heart than my trainer, David Spinrad. He has become to be so much more than a trainer to me, but a role model, mentor and confidant. I feel very sad today that he and his family are facing this challenge. I wanted to post about it here.
Here is a link to the video he made about Tikva's last moments. it is very sad and touching, so please make sure if you watch it you have a whole box of Kleenex. I just wanted to say I am thinking about Tikva and David and his family today and hoping that God is with them and will help them through this time. There really are no words - just people showing support.
