Just When You Think It Is Easy

Renovations - these are the kind of stories you hear about....I am trying to remember where the whole project started...we were just going to tear out the silly extra shower in the bathroom at beige house and create a nice walk-in master closet. So that was easy. Ken had it out in one day (with little mess) and had the new drywall in the next day.

Then we were also having Nick, the plumber, change the pipes in the basement to copper and raise them up so we can have a normal height bonus room downstairs. But, there was all kinds of problems with the pipes rusting and then there was the fact that once we took a shower in the original tub (which we had never done) there was a huge leak. In order to access the pipes, they had to move out part of the kitchen cabinets and saw out the wall to make the repairs.

So now, the house is completely dusty. More the better part of Thursday and Friday we had no running water. Now we have running water, but no shower. So you have to walk up to the upper house in your flip flops and shower there. It is kind of like summer camp.
