With the state of things at the moment, I can't possibly believe I am looking for wedding locations. But, once you get engaged, everyone starts asking when. I think the when will be next August in Mill Valley CA. So since everything I own is in a box, will get unpacked and then put back in a box, I am posting options here.
Located on a private knoll above Muir Woods, the site has sweeping bay and ocean views. The community center has a full kitchen, parking and a banquet room large enough for 756 people. Rental rates are $900 for Saturday and $700 for Friday or Sunday. There is a fireplace and the decor is so-so.
Another nice venue with parking, but no outdoor area. $600 for the rental. 90-125 people capacity.
Limited Parking. But very affordable at $125. Obviously no inside are for bad weather.
They have a variety of options for rooms and ample parking. The Cascade room holds at least 285 people with cathedral ceilings, wood floors, panoramic views, and a commercial kitchen. The Mountain View room holds 45-80 people and has a view on Mt. Tam. The Cascade Room is $2,400 for 8 hours, which is a bit pricey. The Mountain View room is $60 per hour. Alternatively, we could have a pool party wedding.
Other places I would like to check out:
- The new Sweetwater Salon when/if it opens
- Mountain Home Inn (probably pricey)
- Maybe a vacation home rental - I know this might be easier to do in Napa - like here are some options: Luxury Home Retreat and Spa, Sunny California Home, Remodeled Vintage Home
