One of the big points about moving here was settling into a more normal life, less filled with renovations and contractors and fast food. So for the first two weeks, we have been pretty good. We shopped at the Victoria Market this weekend - which is a HUGE farmers market. It makes the market at the Ferry Building in San Francisco look weak. We bought as much as we could possible carry home in the 6 block walk. So we have been cooking up a storm. Monday night was salads with sear Ahi tuna for Dave and grilled prawns for me. Last night, we made lamb, green beans and potatoes. The lamb was so tender and delicious - and seriously the same price you would pay for ground beef or low end steak cut in the States.
We have also been making full use of the gym and lap pool and steam sauna in our apartment building. Leaving clean is good. Although there are still times when we have to order concrete or deal with remodeling issues - Todd has been most great at doing most of that.
