We walked up/down our street, down this incredibly long staircase to go to downtown and Peet's Coffee. On the way back, we saw this really nice Aston Martin convertible parked on the street - top down and keys in the ignition. After marveling at that - we were back at the house to work.
We decide to see what we could plan out on the upper house kitchen. I really need to post a photo. I have the whole kitchen marked off the painter's tape to indicate where cabinets and appliances go. My obsession for labeling and marking with post-it notes has progressed to blue painters tape.
Then Dave's sister Michelle and his step-mom Chris stopped by. Michelle had never seen the place, so that was pretty cool to take her around. Then Dave and I walked to Whole Foods and went to Dan and Shelia's for Easter dinner. How cool is it to be able to walk to Whole Foods, pick up some beer, and then head over to their house?
Dinner was excellent - Dan grilled tri-tip marinated in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, herbs de Provence, salt and pepper. I made my green beans and Shelia made this yummy salad with feta and strawberries. We were so tired and full by the end. We walked the half block home and hung out again in the garage room. We made it even nicer. I think I may just leave the living room a disaster.
Dave finds out on Monday about his voluntary severance package. It should prove to be an exciting Monday.
