A Busy Work Week

Work has been very busy this week (Week 3 of the new job), so I haven't had time to stop and think, much less post on the blog. I am working on two proposals which are very interesting and right up my alley - one for a paint manufacturer and one for a paper manufacturer. Plus, I am short two producers now (one we need to hire and one who is on a three-week holiday) and I am filling in for both. But, I think I am finally settling in here and figuring it all out.

Which brings me to my thought today... why is it that offices (particular advertising agencies and the like) provide you with fun, diversionary games like pool, foosball and table tennis (which seem very much targeted to the men in the office) and nothing similar for the gals (like a craft room, magazine/chill space, beauty lab or something)?

Tonight, Dave and I are off to one of his American co-worker's houses for Thanksgiving dinner. I am looking forward to that. Then, this weekend maybe we can find a desk for the guest room and do some Christmas shopping. I do hope I get paid on Friday, rather than Monday.
